Reflection

I really like how the look of the finished result. The idea evolved from angry orangutan looking over the city, to an artificially made orangutan. How the wires were arranged, it combines 2D and 3D elements. Light play also creates a unique experience. By shining the sculpture with light and moving it from each sides, the sculpture looks as if its reaching out to you.

However I do have some regrets;

On crit day, I made poor installing choices.
The wires were so thin. In a busy room filled with colours, like the studio, you can barely make out the shapes of the sculpture.
The front part of the sculpture was too close and faced the wall. People passing bye look at the sculpture from the wrong direction.
I did the whole thing in a panicked rush, there for I wasn't looking at the studio space properly.

I was so stressed about the project, so I asked a tutor for advise. I had to suppress my want to smack them in the face, but then again what they said actually pushed me to do better. So thank you very much to said tutor <3
